Police: School Evacuated Due to Bomb Threat

The state police in Clearfield provided more information into a sudden dismissal at the West Branch Jr.-Sr. High School yesterday.

According to police, on Thursday at 8:15 a.m., a bomb threat was found in the form of a written note.

WJACTV.com reported yesterday that West Branch schools in Morris Township, Clearfield County, suddenly dismissed all students from kindergarten through 12th grade after what officials would only describe as an “incident.”

The superintendent said the students were dismissed as a precaution. The superintendent said no students are or were in immediate danger nor was anyone injured.

Officials said took the incident seriously, and the superintendent said they decided to dismiss school for the day for the safety of the students and staff.
