- At approximately 6:45 a.m. Friday, police were dispatched for a reported theft in the area of Grant Street. Upon arrival the victim told police that sometime during the early morning hours, someone stole his Philadelphia Flyers flag and its pole from his residence’s porch. The investigation is ongoing at this time. Anyone with information is asked to contact the DuBois City Police Department.
- At approximately 10:42 a.m. Friday, police were dispatched to the 100 block of Hospital Avenue for a hit-and-run accident. At arrival the victim told police he was traveling in the hospital parking lot and looking for a parking space when the vehicle ahead of him stopped and began to back up. He beeped his horn to catch the attention of the operator who continued to back up, striking his vehicle. The suspect vehicle drove away from the accident scene. Police weren’t able to make contact with the operator of the suspect vehicle. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
