The SkillsUSA American Spirit Award team recently presented a check for $752.00 to Mike Millward, CEO of Tomorrow’s Hope Veterans Transitional Housing and Service Center, located in Beccaria Township. The team members held a dance, a bake sale and a feather extension and nail art service day to help raise some of the money. In addition, they and other SkillsUSA members at the school sold clothing items with all the proceeds going to Tomorrow’s Hope. The team would like to remind area veterans that they are still accepting veteran’s stories for publication in a book that will be distributed to local schools and libraries. They are also still taking orders for the various clothing items at 765-5308, ext. 210. Pictured are SkillsUSA American Spirit Award team member Sadie Barrett, SkillsUSA member Tori Hamilton, Millward, and team members Ashley Luzier and Julia Baney.
