DUBOIS – Dave Webster, President of Treasure Lake Property Owners Association Board of Directors, today announced that Gary M. Spiegel has been elected as the interim general manager of Treasure Lake Property Owners Association, effective April 9, 2012 and for an undetermined period of time. Spiegel will report to the Treasure Lake Property Owners Association Board of Directors.
A 36-year railroading veteran, Spiegel has served as Vice President & Chief Operating Officer of North American Rail Group, RailAmerica, where he was responsible the management and operations of RailAmerica’s 42 Northern American short lines. RailAmerica operates in 24 states and six Canadian provinces. Mr. Spiegel successfully increased revenues and reduced costs. Prior to joining RailAmerica, Mr. Spiegel served a number of positions at CSX Corporation and Conrail, including Senior Vice President – Operations, Vice President – Network Operations, and General Manager – Dearborn Division.
In addition to Spiegel’s 36 plus years of business management and operations experience, he has also served on a number of boards in the private and community sector. Spiegel served as the President of the Board at Quail Ridge Country Club Community in Boynton Beach, FL. Spiegel also still serves on the Railroaders Memorial Museum Board, as an advisor to Penn State University on the new Rail Transit Engineering Program, and also as The Green Chairman of Quail Ridge Country Club Community. Spiegel has been a resident of Treasure Lake for 14 years now, and spends his summers enjoying Treasure Lake.
In his new position, Spiegel is responsible for the supervision and management of the association until the Treasure Lake Property Owners Association Board of Directors decides on a future direction for Association Management. The Treasure Lake Property Owners Association Board of Directors selected Mr. Spiegel because of his vast business operations experience and extensive knowledge of PRD and POA operations.
Commenting on the boards’ decision, Webster, president of Treasure Lake Property Owners Association Board of Directors, said, “We are pleased to have such an experienced professional as interim general manager.
