Osceola Mills Man Injured in Accident

EDENDALE – An Osceola Mills man suffered moderate injuries following an accident on Sunday.

Brian D. Snyder, 39, was traveling north on State Street. State police in Philipsburg said hewas about .2 miles north of Spike Island Road and approached a sharp right curve. Police said that prior to the curve, Snyder crossed the center line and traveled north in the southbound lane for an unknown distance. Police said that the left front tire traveled onto the shoulder and he continued another 130 feet.

Police said he failed to bring his vehicle back into the northbound lane, failed to make the curve and struck an wooden fence. He went through the fence, over an embankment and through a yard. Police said he struck a large shed-type building, taking out several concrete blocks at the corner of the foundation. The vehicle continued on about another 50 feet, overturning once, before coming to rest on its wheels, facing south.

Snyder was taken from the scene to Mt. Nittany Medical Center via Moshannon Valley Emergency Medical Services.
