Clearfield—The Susuqhanna Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation held a sanctioned turkey calling contest during the Central PA Outdoor & Sports Show in March.
Eight adults and 13 year old Dakota Chamberlain of Claysburg, PA competed in the open division and three youth competed in the junior division. Winners of the Open Division were, first place, Chad Claycomb of Dawson, PA; second place, Jed Paronish of North Cambria, PA; and Shawn Kotchey of South Corsica, PA. In the Junior Division, first place, Dakota Chamberlain of Claysburg; second place, Corey Chamberlain of Claysburg; and Haylee Newell of Dawnson, PA. The competition was sponsored by Bob’s Army & Navy.
