Fallentimber Man Arrested for Six Burglaries

CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney William A. Shaw, Jr. announced today that charges have been filed against a Clearfield County man for six area burglaries.

Shaw identified the defendant as Daniel Dillen, 25, of Glendale Valley Boulevard, Fallentimber.

On March 26, 2012, Trooper David Patrick of the Pennsylvania State Police, Clearfield Barracks, filed six criminal complaints, charging Dillen with: burglary, F1/F2, four counts; criminal conspiracy to commit burglary, F1/F2, six counts; criminal trespass, F2, four counts; criminal conspiracy to commit criminal trespass, F2, six counts; theft by unlawful taking, M1, 12 counts; receiving stolen property, M1, 12 counts; theft by unlawful taking, M2, five counts; and receiving stolen property, M2, five counts.

The criminal complaints provide that in December 2011 and January 2012, the Pennsylvania State Police began an investigation into six separate burglaries that occurred in Beccaria Township, Chest Township, Houtzdale Borough and Coalport Borough. Upon further investigation, it was found that Dillen and four others had broken into several area businesses, a camp and the Glendale Sportsmen’s Club. Dillen and the others unlawfully removed more than $11,000 worth of items from the various locations.

Shaw stated that a preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 2. He also stated that Richard Breeden of Coalport; Kevin McGary of Greenville; and Bruce Lansberry and Jamie McClellan, both of Glasgow are being charged for their respective involvement in these burglaries.

Shaw thanked the Pennsylvania State Police for their hard work and assistance with this case.
