Larry B. Owens, 58, of Lecontes Mills died on Friday, March 23, 2012 at his residence.
He was born on August 14, 1953 in Clearfield, a son of Joseph and Alberta (Neff) Owens of Penfield.
Mr. Owens was currently employed as a heavy equipment operator with Sky Haven Coal Co., Penfield.
His past times included going to auctions, driving his draft horses and anything to do with his guns.
He was Christian by faith.
He loved spending time with his family, especially his 7 grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Judy (Irvin) Owens whom he wed May 31, 1975 in Clearfield, three children, Bernard Owens and wife Jill of Clearfield, Roger Owens and wife Amanda of Frenchville, Holly Michaels and husband Shane of Kylertown; seven grandchildren, Miriah and Hannah Coddington, Emily, Issac, Grace and Faith Owens and Natalie Michaels; two sisters and two brothers, Gail Ross and husband Ray, Geraldine French and husband Dennis all of Clearfield, Harry Owens and wife Susan of Grampian, Walter Owens and wife Brenda of Eden; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Owens.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Wednesday at 11:00 am with Rev. Robert Grimes officiating. Interment will follow in the Eden Cemetery, Shawville.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM and on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the hour of the service .
