Police Report: LTPD

–Police are investigating numerous thefts from motor vehicles. Police report that approximately $6,000 worth of chainsaws were removed from pick up trucks over the weekend. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 765-1533.
–Police were called to Hunter Peterbuilt for a report of theft from a large truck. Unknown persons opened the hood and removed numerous parts. The suspects left behind tools used to remove the parts. If the persons responsible would like to claim their tools, they are asked to contact police at 765-1647.
— Police are investigating another theft from a pickup truck which contained two Stihl Chainsaws. The investigation continues.
— Police are investigating an act of identity theft. Unknown persons access a local business owners credit card account and has removed approximately $11,000. The investigation continues.
— Police received report of a possible DUI along US Route 322.
— Police received a report of a possible DUI in the Hyde area. Police were unable to locate the vehicle.
— Police responded to an accident that occurred at the Wolfe Run intersection. A vehicle turning from Route 879 collided in the path of another vehicle. No injuries were reported. The second vehicle is off the roadway and will be towed at a later time.
— Police arrested a Hyde man for driving a motorcycle without a license and registration.
— Police served an arrest warrant on a Hyde resident for failure to appear. Police collected fines and costs and released the suspect.
— Police responded to a report of a suspicious person on SR 322/153. Police could not locate the person.
