New to the show this year, a representative of Buckmasters will perform free antler scoring. The Clearfield County Fair Queens will be selling tickets for their Royal Gun Raffle to benefit the Children’s Miracle Network. The guns to be raffled are a Savage All New Axis Rifle, a Weatherby PA-08 Shotgun and a Ruger All American Rifle.
On Saturday, Trout Unlimited and Jim’s Sports Center are holding a fly-tying competition. Participants can pre-register and receive recipe information by emailing info@centralpaoutdoorshow.com.
The Susquehanna Local NWTF and Bob’s Army and Navy are holding a sanctioned turkey calling contest on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. Registration will be held at the show from 10 a.m. to Noon.
Returning speakers include F & T’s North American Trapper, “The Animal” Darin Freeborough and Chris Yeager, who will speak on wildlife food plotting.
For the children, Biller’s Live Fishing Pond returns. In addition, PA Wildlife Habitat Unlimited will help kids construct Wren boxes and there will be archery lessons with Nicky Leigey.
The show is held in conjunction with the annual March downtown festivities organized by Grice Gun Shop.
