UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State head coaches Bill O’Brien and Coquese Washington and the 2012 football senior class will be the special guests at the Nittany Lion Club’s annual Blue-White Event on Saturday, April 21. The continental breakfast will be held in the Bryce Jordan Center prior to the Blue-White Game presented by AAA, which will kick off at 2 p.m. in Beaver Stadium.
The Blue-White Event is open to the public. Tickets are $20, the same price as last year, and are now on sale.
Doors for the Nittany Lion Club Blue-White Event will open at 9:30 a.m. and the program will begin at 10:30 a.m., including comments from O’Brien. The event will be first-come, first-served open seating on the arena floor.

The event also features giveaways, photos with the Nittany Lion and cheerleaders, the opportunity to talk with coaches and student-athletes from various sports and a "Back the Lions" button booth. Nittany Lion Club merchandise will also be available (cash or check only).
O’Brien was named head coach on January 6 and has been leading the Nittany Lions through off-season strength and conditioning workouts for the past month after helping the New England Patriots reach Super Bowl XLVI. Penn State begins spring practice on March 26. Blue-White Weekend presented by AAA is April 20-22, including free admission and parking for the Blue-White Game.
The 2012 Big Ten Coach of the Year, Washington this season has directed the Lady Lion Basketball team to its first outright Big Ten Championship since 2004. Penn State (24-6) is No. 11 in this week’s Associated Press poll and will learn its NCAA Tournament fate when the NCAA field is announced Monday, March 12 at 7 p.m. on ESPN.
