Virginia M. Southard, age 88, of Philipsburg passed away on Thursday, March 1, 2012 at the Mountain Laurel Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Born march 19, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Julia Southard.
She was a 1941 graduate of Philipsburg High School and worked for AT & T and Honeywell Corporation until her retirement.
She is survived by a sister, Judy Reese and her husband Lewis of Harrisburg; two brothers, Arden Southard of Summit, NJ and James Southard and his wife Mary of Philipsburg.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. at the Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Philipsburg with the Rev. Robert J. Kelly as celebrant. Burial will be held in the Philipsburg Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the church on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the time of Mass.
