Glenn W. Ardery, 80, of Clearfield died Thursday at the Clearfield Hospital. Born March 24, 1931, he was the son of Glenn C. and Stella (McCloskey) Ardery.
He was a U.S. Airborne veteran of World War II and a 1950 graduate of Clearfield Area High School. He was a member of Emmanuel Methodist Church in Clearfield.
Mr. Ardery was employed as a laborer at Clearfield Clay. In addition, he was the owner and operator of Crawford Door Sales, where he retired after 30 years in business.
On April 13, 1954 in Winchester, VA, he wed Alice I. Knepp Ardery. She survives along with five children, Donald Ardery and his wife, Pam of Chambersburg; Debra Harris and her husband, Thomas of Clearfield; Terry Ardery and his wife, Barbara of Finley, OH; Randy Ardery of Freemont, OH; and Linda Cutler of Clearfield.
Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Evelyn Pentz of New Jersey.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Helen Hugar and an infant brother.
At the request of Mr. Ardery, there will be public visitation or services.
Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family at the Bradford Cemetery.
