Accident Claims Penfield Man’s Life

HUSTON TOWNSHIP – A 58-year-old Penfield man was killed in a single-vehicle accident at 1:20 a.m. Saturday on state Route 255 north of Penfield in Huston Township, the DuBois-based state police reported.

State police identified the accident victim as David A. Longo, 58, of Penfield. He was traveling northbound at which time his pick-up truck went off the eastern berm. There, his pick-up truck collided with a tree head-on.

He was pronounced dead at the scene by Clearfield County Coroner, Mike Morris. He wasn’t wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident. His pick-up truck sustained severe damage.

Police were assisted by the Penfield Volunteer Fire Department and Bennetts Valley Ambulance.
