CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield Area School District received a clean bill of health during the presentation of its financial audit at Monday night’s regular meeting.
Katherine B. Eckley, CPA, of Walter Hopkins & Co. of Clearfield, presented the board with its audit for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2011. She gave the district an “unqualified opinion,” the very best opinion possible. She said they neither identified any discrepancies nor anything out of the ordinary.
According to her report, the district had $34,173,032 in total revenues and $33,384,608 in total expenditures. She listed “other sources” as $1,721, 227 and indicated the district had a surplus of $2,509,651.
Eckley said the district’s fund balance totaled $6,746,796 on June 30 of last year.
