New Paris Man Faces DUI, Drug Paraphernalia Charges

TAYLOR TOWNSHIP – The Philipsburg-based state police are investigating an incident of DUI and possession of drug paraphernalia that occurred at 12:32 a.m. Feb. 17 on Interstate 99 in Taylor Township.

According to the report, a 20-year-old New Paris man was traveling near mile marker 57 and committing several traffic violations. After making contact with him, troopers discovered that he was under the influence of alcohol.

The man was taken into custody for DUI. At this time, troopers found him in possession of drug paraphernalia. Charges for DUI, possession of drug paraphernalia and multiple summary violations will be filed through the district court.
