CLEARFIELD – The Lawrence Township Police Department wants to warn the public of a scam that has been reported.
Police said it is called the “Grandparent’s Scam.” A man will call and he will be crying. He will tell the grandparents that he was picked up by police and that another man will come onto the phone and identify himself as a police officer or other law enforcement agent. He will then request money.
The LTPD would like to remind the public not to give information or money to a caller they do not know.
