Man Wanted on Drug Charges Captured at Hotel

CLEARFIELD – A man charged in relation to a recent drug sweep was taken into custody over the weekend.

According to the Lawrence Township Police Department, an officer working in the Drug Task Force received information that Michael Warrick was hiding out at a local motel. Warrick was wanted in relation to the drug sweep that occurred on Feb. 10.

Police checked the location then surveiled it. While watching it, police noticed another wanted person leaving the hotel. He was taken into custody and placed in Clearfield County Jail.

Surveillance continued until police confirmed that Warrick was in the hotel. The LTPD, with assistance from Clearfield Borough police, took him into custody.

Warrick is currently in Clearfield County Jail in liue of $50,000 bail.
