Virgil Silvio Foradori, 80, of DuBois died Thursday at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center – St. Margaret Medical Center, Pittsburgh. He was born Sept. 21, 1931, the son of the late Alexander and Frances (Coder) Foradori.
On Aug. 18, 1956, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, he married Beverly Ann Krise, who preceded him in death April 26, 2010.
He was employed by Brockway Glass Company as a mold maker. He was supervisor of the mold shop at Brockway’s plant 17 (Danville, VA) and plant 2 (Crenshaw). He was a veteran of the Korean conflict.
He was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church in DuBois, where he was involved in the annual Labor Day Polish Festival. He also served as an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Danville, VA. He and his wife enjoyed bowling and were participants in the Sunday night mixed bowling league.
He is survived by his daughter, Sandra and her husband, David Andrulonis of Maumee, OH; his son, Fr. V. David Foradori of DuBois; his granddaughter, Stephanie Andrulonis of Beaver Creek, OH; and his grandson, Chad Andrulonis of Dayton, OH.
Also surviving are his brothers, Col Harry and his wife Dorris, Foradori of Cocoa Beach, FL; Alex and his wife, Betty Foradori of Brockport and Robert and his wife, Carole Foradori of Deatsville, AL and his sister-in-law, Lynne Foradori of Seville, OH.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, his parents, his sister, Mary (LeRoy) Witz and his brother, Donald Foradori.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Monday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
There will be a Scriptural Wake Service at 8:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday by Fr. V. David Foradori, his son, at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.
Burial will follow in St. Tobias Cemetery, where full military honors will be accorded by the members of the DuBois Area Honor Guard.
