Sandy Supers get CDBG Update, Plan Hearing

DUBOIS – The Community Development Block Grant award hasn’t been released yet, but is expected soon enough that Sandy Township is planning for the public hearing in late February.  Township Manager Dick Castonguay gave the supervisors an estimate for the township’s anticipated award at $145,000.

According to Castonguay, this estimate assumed an across the board 12 percent for the program.  He added that depending on the grant using population numbers before or after the last census the figure could drop noticeably.
