- No injuries were reported following a single-vehicle accident at 11 a.m. Friday at the Weis Market parking lot in Rush Township. Donald J. Bannon, 86, of Philipsburg was attempting to park his vehicle when he accidentally stepped on the accelerator instead of applying his brakes. His vehicle rear-ended an unoccupied Jeep, causing it to strike the Weis Market building. Damage to the Jeep was minimal. There wasn’t any damage observed to the building.
- An incident of DUI occurred at approximately 12:51 a.m. Sunday along South Eagle Valley Road near Reese Hollow Road in Worth Township. A 53-year-old Port Matilda man was stopped for a traffic violation. He was found under the influence of alcohol and placed into custody for DUI. He was transported for blood testing. DUI charges and several summary traffic violations are to be filed through the district court.
