, 62 of Duncansville and formerly of Philipsburg died Friday at the Valley View Nursing Home in Altoona.
Born Sept. 1, 1949 in Philipsburg, she was the daughter of the late Dillon Sr. and Martha (Flegal) Saupp.
She was of Presbyterian faith, an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam era and a writer and author.
She graduated from Philipsburg-Osceola High School in the class of 1967. She received her Bachelor’s degree in business administration from Texas Tech in 1975 and a Master’s degree in library science from Clarion University of Pennsylvania in 1995.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother, Davis Saupp.
She is survived by two brothers, Robert D. Saupp and his wife, Xiaorong of Springfield, VA and James D. Saupp and his wife, Susan of Sandy Ridge; several nieces and nephews and also several great nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. Monday at the Heath Funeral Home in Osceola Mills with the Rev. Jean E. Martin officiating. Burial will be at the Umbria Cemetery in Osceola Mills.
Friends will be received from 7 p.m. until the time of services Monday at the funeral home.
