Shaw identified the Fugitive as Robert Lewis McCracken, age 46, of Altoona, .
Shaw stated that McCracken is wanted for failure to appear at Jury Selection on Aug. 19, 2004.
On May 16, 2003, Trooper Warren Rhyner of the Pennsylvania State Police, Clearfield Barracks, filed a criminal complaint charging McCracken with:1) recklessly endangering another person, M2, 2) driving under the influence of alcohol or controlled substance, M2; 3) harassment, S; and 4) driving while operating privileges suspended or revoked, S.
An affidavit of probable cause filed by Rhyner states that on May 15, 2003, the Pennsylvania State Police responded to a the scene of a domestic incident in Beccaria Township. Upon investigation it was found that McCracken had been following the victim while she was driving on Gill Hollow Road, and that McCracken had used his vehicle to ram into the victim’s vehicle. McCracken then attempted to break the driver’s side window and puncture the tires of the victim’s vehicle with a screwdriver. At the scene, Rhyner made contact with McCracken and detected signs of impairment. McCracken was transported to the Clearfield Hospital for blood testing.
A preliminary hearing was scheduled for May 21, 2003, at which time all charges were held for Court. On Aug. 19, 2004, McCracken failed to appear for Jury Selection and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
