Brockport Man Sustains Major Injury in Horton Township Accident

HORTON TOWNSHIP – A 72-year-old Brockport man suffered a major injury after a single-vehicle accident at 12:07 p.m. Friday along Keystone Road in Horton Township, Elk County.

The Ridgway-based state police identified the man as Clark D. Miller Sr., 72, of Brockport. He was the passenger of a vehicle driven by Scott A. Miller, 46, also of Brockport. Clark Miller wasn’t using his seatbelt at the time of the accident.

According to the accident report, Scott Miller was traveling northbound and coming out of a left-hand curve. His vehicle began to slide on the roadway before crossing the southbound lane and striking an embankment.

At that point, his vehicle began to spin counterclockwise and overturned. It came to a rest in an upright position in the southbound lane, facing south. He was using his seatbelt at the time of the accident.

Scott Miller was cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic and restraint systems through the district court. Police were assisted at the scene by the Horton Township Fire Department and Brockway Ambulance.
