Anthony H. Karlinchak, 89, of McKeeport and formerly of Morann passed away at 6:40 p.m., Jan. 16, at UPMC Hospital, McKeesport, PA.
He was born on Jan. 31, 1922 at Hastings, PA, a son of the late Stephen and Xenia (Czaplaczyk) Karlinchak.
He was a 1941 graduate of the former Woodward Twp. High School and served in the U.S. Navy in WW II & the Korean war. Mr. Karlinchak retired in 1985 as a millwright from General Motors of McKeesport.
He was a parishioner and an active church member, along with his wife, of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, McKeesport. Mr. Karlinchak was a member of the United Auto Workers of America; the 11th Ward Men’s Club of McKeesport, and the V.F.W. and American Legion.
On Oct. 6, 1956 in St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, Ramey he married Anna Kutzer Karlinchak who survives of McKeeport.
Mr. Karlinchak is survived by two sons Stephen Mark Karlinchak of McKeesport and Joe Karlinchak of North Huntingdon. He is also survived by five sisters, Anne Sullivan of Maryland; Helen Jollon of Bethpage, NY; Irene Gibler of Fallbrook, CA; Stephanie Elynich of North Arlington, NJ; and Joan Lang, of Olney, MD; two brothers, George Karlinchak and his wife Arlene and Peter Karlinchak and his wife Jean all of Erie. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Karlinchak was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Boris and Catherine Conlon and three brothers, Michael, John and Richard Karlinchak.
Friends will be received on Jan. 19 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.and on Jan. 20 from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. at the Kruise Funeral Home, Inc. Ramey. A Parastas service will be sung at 7:00 PM Thursday in the funeral home with Fr. Balistreri.
Great Panachida will be held on Jan. 20 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, Ramey with Fr. Anthony Balistreri officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Ramey. Condolences may be sent to: condolences@kruisefuneralhome.com.
