Ray A. Maines, Sr. 77, of Mineral Springs, PA passed away on Jan. 14, 2012 at the UPMC-Presbyterian, Pittsburgh, PA.
He was born Jan. 27, 1934 in Bradford Township, the son of Burtis B. and V. Mae (Bumbarger) Maines.
He retired in 2000 from the Forcey Lumber Company.
Mr. Maines is survived by a son Ray. A. Maines, Jr. and a daughter, Michelle L. Baney both of Mineral Springs, four grandchildren; Ashly Baney, Maranda Baney, Joseph Baney and Morgan Dixon, three brothers; Robert Maines, of Clearfield, Darrel Maines and his wife Eileen, of Jesup, Iowa, Chester Maines, of South Dakota and three sisters; Dorothy Feakler, of Erie, Bertha Buck, of Clearfield, Helen Cupp and her husband Fred, of Clearfield and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Lelia J. (Buck) Maines whom he married Sept. 8, 1962 and who passed away Sept. 9, 1994 and a granddaughter, Cordelia Jo Baney, four sisters; Katherine, Violet, Hetti and Martha and six brothers; Ernest, Benny, Ralph, Walter, Harold, Harry.
Funeral Services will be held at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc., Clearfield on Jan. 18 at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Brenda L. Libreatori officiating. Interment will be in the Bradford Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Jan. 18 from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the services.
