No Injuries Reported Following Single-vehicle Accident in Warsaw Township

WARSAW TOWNSHIP – No injuries were reported following a single-vehicle accident at 9:50 a.m. Friday along Richardsville Road in Warsaw Township, the DuBois-based state police reported.

According to the accident report, a 21-year-old Brookville male was traveling south and apparently lost control of his vehicle on the snow- and slushed-covered roadway. He was negotiating a left-hand curve, which resulted in his vehicle sliding out of control.

The male failed to regain control of his vehicle, and it slid off the western berm of the roadway, traveling down an embankment. Then, it overturned one complete revolution in a sideways fashion before entering the North Fork Creek.

The man’s vehicle came to a final rest upright in the creek, facing eastwardly. He exited the vehicle prior to it becoming submerged underwater in the creek. The man was wearing his safety belt at the time of the accident.

He was determined to be at fault and will be cited for driving a vehicle at a safe speed. Police were assisted at the scene by the Warsaw Township Volunteer Fire Department and Bailey’s Towing.
