Flora M. Yacabucci, 90, of Curwensville, passed away Tuesday evening Jan. 3, 2012 at the Clearfield Hospital.
Born June 2, 1921 In Curwensville, she was the daughter of Frank and Margaret (Test) Feola. She was retired as a seamstress for the MacGregor Sportswear Co.
She was a member of St. Timothy Roman Catholic Church in Curwensville and also a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She belong to the Amalgamated Clothing and Textile Workers Union Local 118C, was a member of the Board of Directors of the Oak Hill Cemetery, was a very active member of the Community Care Group of Ridgeview Elder Care, and was a member of the former Democratic Club of Curwensville. She was a 1939 graduate of Curwensville High School.
She was wed to Dan Yacabucci who preceded her in death on April 1, 1993. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a sister Nadine Thurston, and a brother Anthony Feola. She was the last member of her generation.
Surviving is a daughter Judy Conrad and her husband Richard of Hopewell Junction, NY, 2 grandchildren Steven Conrad and Beth Michelle Wrage, 2 great grandchildren Olivia Leigh Conrad and Daniel Joseph Conrad and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Timothy’s Roman Catholic Church 306 Walnut St. Curwensville on Jan. 7, 2012 at 2:30 p.m., with the Reverend Father Mark J. Mastrian as Celebrant. Interment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Curwensville.
Friends will be received at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville on Jan. 6 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 12 Noon until 2:15 p.m., when the procession will depart for the church.
The Rosary will be recited Friday at 3:00 p.m. by members of St. Timothy’s Altar and Rosary Society and a Scripture Vigil Service will be conducted Friday at 3:45 p.m., both at the funeral home.
The family suggests contributions be made to either the Oak Hill Cemetery Memorial Fund, St. Timothy’s R. C. Church, the Community Care Group of Ridgeview Elder Care, or the American Heart Association.
