Helen M. Fox, 96 of Hawk Run, passed away on Jan. 1, 2012 at her residence.
Born Dec. 15, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Valent and Mary (Holomon) Verost.
She was a member of the Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Philipsburg. She had been employed as a seamstress at Adleman and Retosky Clothing Store in Philipsburg.
On May 22, 1937 in Hawk Run, she wed Paul C. Fox, who passed away on Feb. 10, 1995.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers Joseph, John, Walter and Andrew Verost; and sisters Margaret Pallo, Anna Mrazik, Agnes Holomon, Sue Rusnak, Elizabeth Kovalcin, and Mary Tutoky.
She is survived by her daughter Gail Harvey and her husband Richard of Chester Hill; son Gerald Fox and his wife Janet of Hillsboro, TN; sister Matilda “Lil” Marince of Erie; grandchildren AJ Fox and his wife Kendra, and Renee Fox, all of Manchester, TN, Alicia Harvey of Dallas, TX, Diane Harvey and her husband Keith Voss of New Hope, James Harvey of Altoona, and Christopher Harvey of Philipsburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral mass will be celebrated on Jan. 5 at 11 a.m. at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Philipsburg, with the Rev. Robert J. Kelly officiating. Burial will be at St. Agnes Cemetery in Morrisdale. Visitation will be held on Jan. 4 from 2-5 p.m. at the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home, 719 E. Spruce St., Philipsburg. A Vigil service will be held by Fr. Kelly in addition to the recitation of the Rosary at 3 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
