- On Dec. 31 police stopped a 22-year-old Morrisdale man for suspicion of DUI after he was stopped for several traffic violations on state Route 53 in Morris Township. He was taken to Clearfield Hospital for a blood draw.
- Police are investigating an act of criminal mischief on Laura Street in Chester Hill Borough. Someone damaged the break lines to a 32-year-old man’s truck. Anyone with information is urged to call police.
- A Clearfield man was traveling west on state Route 970 in Bradford Township. He failed to stay in his lane as he rounded a curve, traveled off the right side of the road and struck a fence. He destroyed about 50 feet of fencing. He then fled the scene. He was later identified by the Lawrence Township Police Department and Clearfield County Control. He was cited for multiple vehicle code violations.
- A Houtzdale man and woman were drinking for Year Year’s. The an got upset when the woman was talking to other friends. He grabbed her by the throat and shoved her to the floor. She suffered no injuries. The man will be cited.
- A Philipsburg man reportedly violated at protrection from abuse order. Charges have been filed. Police said the man is hiding from them and they are contnuing to search for him.
- Someone removed a Curwensville man’s .38 Smith& Wesson revolver from his vehicle while it was parked on Filbert Street.
- Someone went to a private camp on Caledonia Pike and cut and removed copper ground wire and copper fittings, as well as two propane tanks. The person fled the scene in an uknown manner of travel.
- An unknown Clearfield man was charged for underage drinking after he was seen walking along Long Run Road.
