William J. “Bill” LeGrand Jr., 61 of Philipsburg, passed away on Dec. 16, 2011 at UPMC Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh.
Born July 22, 1950 in Philipsburg, he was the son of Sophia M. (Pierson) LeGrand of Philipsburg, and the late William J. LeGrand Sr.
On June 24, 1972 at Osceola Mills United Methodist Church, he wed Patti Ann (Grundusky) LeGrand, who survives at home.

George T. LeGrand and his wife Mari Beth of Gearhartville

He was preceded in death by his father.
He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Philipsburg; he was a member of Philipsburg VFW Louis P. Jenkins Post 3450, L&L Hunting Camp and bowled on the Allstate bowling team; he enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and playing cards; he was a 1968 graduate of Philipsburg High School; and he was a bricklayer for Local Union #5 of Pennsylvania, until his retirement.
Funeral services will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church, 121 S. Front St. Philipsburg, on Dec. 22 at 11:00 am with Rev. Brenda K. Leigey officiating. Burial will be in the Philipsburg Cemetery. Friends will be received at the David K. Dahlgren Funeral Home, 228 N. Centre St. Philipsburg, on Dec. 21, 2011 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m.
