Obituary Notice: Leta M. Moyer

 
Lee  was born in Olanta, PA, on Aug. 19, 1929, a daughter of the late Charles and Della (Bauman) Heitsenrether.
 
She attended school in Clearfield.
 
On July 6, 1951, in Winchester, VA, Lee married Howard G. Moyer, who survives of Houtzdale.
 
Lee is a member of the First United Methodist Church of Houtzdale and was active in the Clown Ministry and portrayed the Weird Angel at Community United Methodist Church, Fort Pierce, FL.
 
In April 1970, along with her husband, they founded Howard’s Riverside of Houtzdale which later became Howard’s BiLo.  They retired from the store in the late 80’s.
 
Lee is  survived by three daughters and two sons; Christina Ann Townsend and her husband Gary of Sanborn, NY, Coreen Lee Froman and her husband Bruce Pierce of Sanborn, NY, Sylvia Jean Bumbarger and her husband John of Houtzdale,  William H. Moyer and his wife   Pamela of Houtzdale,  and Robert D. Moyer and his wife Michelle of Houtzdale.
 
She is also survived by nine grandchildren, Leah Stuart, Rodney Fetters, Danielle Hoover, Matthew Froman, Kelly O’Donnell, Chad Moyer, Shannon Moyer, Dustin Moyer, and Chessa Moyer.  Six great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews survive.
 
A sister, Gloria Lanager of Hyde, survives.
 
Lee was the last of her generation having been preceded in death by a brother, John Heitsenrether and an infant sister, Alma Heitsenrether. 
 
Friends will be received on Dec. 20, from 2-4 and 6-8 p..m. and on Dec. 21, from 12 Noon -1:30 p.m. at the Kruise Funeral Home, Inc, Ramey.
 
Funeral Services will be held on Dec. 20 at 2:00 p.m. from the First United Methodist Church, Houtzdale, with the Rev. Robert Ford officiating.
 
Interment will follow in the  Beulah Cemetery, Ramey.  Condolences may be sent to condolences@kruisefuneralhome.com.

Mrs. Leta Mae “Lee”  (Heitsenrether) Moyer, 82, of Houtzdale, passed away Dec. 18, 2011, at 6:30 a.m. at her residence.
