HUSTON TOWNSHIP – Minor injuries were reported following a single-vehicle accident at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday along state Route 3040 east of Mudlick Road in Huston Township, the Philipsburg-based state police reported.
According to the accident report, a 19-year-old Port Matilda male was traveling southbound along SR 3040. He was allegedly distracted by passenger, Danielle Fulton, 19, of Port Matilda at which time his vehicle traveled off the eastern berm, where it collided with the guiderail.
His vehicle then traveled back across both lanes of travel and off the western berm, where it struck an embankment. There, his vehicle came to a final rest, according to the accident report.
Both the man and Fulton sustained minor injuries in the accident and received treatment at the Mount Nittany Medical Center. Neither he nor Fulton was wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident.
The man’s vehicle was towed from the scene by Halfmoon Towing. He will be cited for multiple summary violations, including careless driving, through the district court, according to the accident report.
