Helen L. Collins, 87, of Falls Creek died Friday at the DuBois Regional Medical Center. She was born on July 15, 1924 in Bakerton, the daughter of the late John and Agnes (Czyrezka) Katchmarchi.
She was a member of St. Bernard’s Roman Catholic Church and the Falls Creek Eagles Ladies Auxiliary.
Mrs. Collins was a homemaker.
In October 1948, she married Robert D. Collins. He preceded her in death April 14, 1975.
She’s survived by many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Michael Collins, one sister, Anne Leonard and two brothers, Stanley and Chester Katchmarchi.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. – 6 p.m. Sunday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
A Scriptural Wake Service will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on at 10 a.m. Monday at the St. Bernard’s Roman Catholic Church in Falls Creek with Fr. Richard Tomasone as celebrant.
Burial will follow in Morningside Cemetery.
Memorials may be placed with the charity of the donor’s choice.
