UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State students wishing to purchase tickets for the No. 22 Nittany Lions’ match-up with No. 19 Houston in the TicketCity Bowl can do so during a special walk-up sale at the Bryce Jordan Center ticket office this Saturday, Dec. 10, from 8 a.m.-noon.
Students presenting their valid ID+ card will be able to purchase two tickets in the student section at $75 each. Purchases can be made with cash or a credit card. Student Nittany Lion Clubmembers who present their membership cards on the day of the sale will receive priority for purchase and location. All student tickets will be positioned together in the stadium to create a Penn State student section in the Cotton Bowl.
Penn State Commonwealth Campus students interested in purchasing tickets can call 1-800-NITTANY beginning Monday morning at 8 a.m. Commonwealth campus students purchasing via phone may also purchase two tickets per student. A credit card must be used for all phone purchases and an additional standard handling fee of $6 per ticket will be added. All tickets purchased by phone through December 19th will be mailed. After that date, tickets will be picked up at will-call.
No. 22 Penn State and Wisconsin tied for the Big Ten Leaders Division title with 6-2 records. The Nittany Lions (9-3) will play No. 19 Houston (12-1) in the TicketCity Bowl in Dallas on Jan. 2. Penn State’s 27 bowl wins are No. 3 nationally and 43 bowl visits are good for No. 8 in thenation. The Nittany Lions lead all Big Ten teams in bowl victories and winning percentage (65.1, 27-14-2 record) and are No. 2 in bowl appearances.
Penn State is playing in a New Year’s bowl game for the sixth time in the last seven years.
