Obituary Notice: Frances M. Merryman

Frances M. “Cookie” Merryman, 66 of Philipsburg, passed away Dec. 5, 2011 at her residence. 

Born September 18, 1945 in Philipsburg, she was the daughter of Nellie (Yokobosky) Mekis, who survives of Morrisdale, and the late George Mekis.

She is survived by children:

Lisa M. Bock and her husband Randy                                   of Philipsburg

Thomas Merryman Jr.                                                             of Philipsburg

Joseph Timothy Merryman and his wife Kim             of Osceola Mills

Barb Merryman Barton and her husband Brian                      of Philipsburg

John Anthony Merryman and paramour Shannon Smith       of New Jersey

George Mekis and his wife Carol                                           of Osceola Mills

John Mekis and his wife Maryann                                          of Osceola Mills

Carol Jansen and her husband Bob                                         of Michigan

Eileen Keller and her husband Barry                                      of Kylertown

Grandchildren:

Marie, Natalia, Courtney, Montayna, Kriste, Kayla, Peyton, Mary, Timmy, Anthony, Tanner and Leanne

And great-grandchildren

Logan, Jack and Keera 

She was preceded in death by her father.

She was a 1963 graduate of Philipsburg Osceola High School. She held a license in Real Estate Sales and was a Real Estate Agent for Realty World Reiter Agency since 1988. She was a Christian by faith.

She enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She loved the library and was an avid reader.

Funeral Services will be held at the David K. Dahlgren Funeral Home, 228 N. Centre St. Philipsburg, on Dec. 9 at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Jen Heikes officiating. Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery, Osceola Mills. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Dec. 9 from 4-6 p.m. Family and friends will be received at the home of Lisa and Randy Bock following the service.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Cookie’s memory may be made to the David K. Dahlgren Funeral Home, 228 N. Centre St. Philipsburg, PA 16866.
