WJACTV.com: PSU Students Question Transparency at Town Hall Meeting

UNIVERSITY PARK – Hundreds of Penn State students voiced their concerns, criticisms and hopes of healing in the wake of child sex abuse allegations that rocked the Nittany Nation at the university’s first town hall with administrators on Wednesday night.

Penn State sophomore Charles Martin, who commutes to University Park from Julian, told 6News that the open forum is the first step in a long journey to fix Penn State’s transparency problem.

“I’m glad that they’re just talking about it, and it’s not behind behind doors, like all the allegations are about in this unfolding case,” said Martin.

Senior Joanna Reismann said the response from administrators eased her concerns about the Jerry Sandusky child sex abuse allegations tainting the integrity of her degree or hampering students’ opportunities with internships and jobs.
