Raymond “Al” Rowles, Sr., 77, of Clearfield, passed away Nov. 26, 2011 at Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehab Center.
Born on May 7, 1934 the son of the late Florence “Bid” (Rowles) Litz.
Raymond was protestant by faith.
He was formally employed as a Van Drive for Hahne Cancer Center in DuBois for 22years, Harbison Walker Machine Shop for 10 years and retired from the United States Air force after 22 years of service. He was a lifetime member of the Clearfield VFW, American Legion, the Air Force Sergeants Association. He also enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his son: Raymond Rowles, Jr. of Clearfield; three sisters: Francine Minturn of Brownstone, PA, Jennie Lynn Dietzler of Lititz, PA, Cindy McKendrick of Clearfield, PA; two brothers: John Litz of West Decatur, PA and Frank Venerick of Clearfield, PA. Also survived by two grandchildren: Joshua and Jaymeson Rowles.
Al was preceded in death by his mother, his daughter Donna Jean Livergood, brother David Litz and sister Nancy Sones.
At the wish of Mr. Rowles there will be no visitation, a service will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home.
