KYLERTOWN – Drivers may encounter delays Tuesday as work starts to wind down on the westbound, Interstate 80 bridge job near Kylertown in Clearfield County.
Starting at 7 a.m., crews will be working to remove temporary concrete barrier within the project. The barrier will be replaced with channelizing devices. Temporary barrier will also be removed along Route 53 under the newly constructed I-80 bridge and delays on Route 53 are likely.
Pennsylvania State Police will be on site to assist with traffic control and flow. The work zone is between mile-markers 133 and 134. Westbound I-80 traffic remains restricted to the right (travel lane) and a 10-foot width restriction remains in effect. Drivers can also find updated roadway information on roadside message boards and through the Highway Advisory Radio System at 1640 on the am dial.
All work is weather and schedule dependent. Glenn O. Hawbaker Inc. is the contractor on this $10 million project.
Drivers are reminded to obey posted speed limits, use caution in construction zones and always buckle up. PennDOT reminds motorists they can log on to 511pa.com or call 511 from any phone to check traffic conditions before heading out.
