CAUW at 88 Percent of Goal

CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield Area United Way would like to announce that, at this week’s Report Luncheon held at the St. Charles Cafe in Clearfield, $216,023 has been raised to date, which represents 88 percent of the $245,000 Campaign Goal to help support 25 Local Member Agencies located throughout Eastern, Southern and Central Clearfield County.

Congratulations were given to the Bradford Elementary School for recently finishing up a “United For United Way” Change Drive and it was announced that 434 Sub Coupons were sold in the recent fundraiser which the CAUW Board conducted, under Chairwoman Dealyn Taylor’s leadership. 

On Dec. 5 from 4-8 p.m. a “Celebrity Waiter” Night will be held at the Clearfield Dutch Pantry and student and adult volunteer “celebrities” from around the area will help take orders and serve food to customers. Tip jars will be on all of the tables for donations large and small and all tips will generously be donated by the waitresses that evening as well as 10 percent of the receipt total.  The Board and 75 Member Volunteer Campaign Team are asking that everyone come out to support this effort and to help the 25 LOCAL Member Agencies that United Way helps.
