CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney William A. Shaw, Jr. announced the capture of a wanted fugitive.
Shaw identified the Fugitive as Nadine Decker, age 37, of Mingoville.
Decker was added to the Clearfield County Fugitive of the Week list on Nov. 14.
Shaw stated that Decker is wanted for failure to appear at a preliminary hearing July 6 and for failure to appear at arraignment court Aug. 4.
On June 3, Patrolman Eric McBride of the Clearfield Borough Police Department filed a criminal complaint, charging Decker with theft by deception and bad checks.
An affidavit of probable cause filed by Patrolman McBride states that in April, the Clearfield Borough Police received a report of theft and bad checks from a Clearfield business. Upon investigation it was found that Decker had issued a check in order to obtain merchandise and services; however, the check was returned for insufficient funds. Decker was advised that the check was returned and failed to pay the amount owed to the business.
A preliminary hearing was scheduled for July 6 at which time Decker failed to appear and a warrant was issued for her arrest. Also, on Aug. 4, Decker failed to appear for arraignment court and a warrant was issued for her arrest.
Shaw stated that on Nov. 15, Decker voluntarily surrendered herself to Deputies from the Clearfield County Sheriff’s Office, and she was taken into custody.
Shaw thanked the Clearfield County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance with this case.
