CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney William A. Shaw Jr. announced Clearfield County’s Fugitive of the Week for the week of Nov. 14. Shaw identified the fugitive as Nadine Decker, 37, of Mingoville.
Shaw stated that Decker is wanted for failure to appear at a preliminary hearing July 6 and for failure to appear at arraignment court Aug. 4.
On June 3, Patrolman Eric McBride of the Clearfield Borough Police Department filed a criminal complaint, charging Decker with theft by deception and bad checks.
An affidavit of probable cause filed by Patrolman McBride states that in April, the Clearfield Borough Police received a report of theft and bad checks from a Clearfield business. Upon investigation it was found that Decker had issued a check in order to obtain merchandise and services; however, the check was returned for insufficient funds. Decker was advised that the check was returned and failed to pay the amount owed to the business.
A preliminary hearing was scheduled for July 6 at which time Decker failed to appear and a warrant was issued for her arrest. Also, on Aug. 4, Decker failed to appear for arraignment court and a warrant was issued for her arrest.
Decker is described as follows as a Caucasian female, standing 5 feet tall. She has brown eyes and hair.
Anyone with knowledge of Decker’s location is asked to call Clearfield County Crime Stoppers at 800-376-4700. All calls to Crime Stoppers are confidential.
