Obituary Notice: Patricia A. Redzensky

Patricia A. Redzensky, 73, of Osceola Mills, died Monday at Valley View Home, Altoona. Born Oct. 20, 1938 in Fairmont, WV, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Anna (Kowthawski) Benkovich.

Mrs. Redzensky was of the Christian faith.

Alongside her husband, she owned the former Redzensky Café, Houtzdale. She had also worked as a home health aide.

She graduated from Fairmont High School in the class of 1956. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending time with her daughter.

She married John Martin “Mixer” Redzensky on Jan. 28, 1961 in Holidaysburg and who preceded her in death Jan. 18, 1978.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, John Michael Redzensky, who died March 12, 2005.

Mrs. Redzensky is survived by a daughter, Carol Wheeler and her husband, Charlie of Lilly and a brother, William Frank Benkovich of Fairmont, WV.

At the request of Mrs. Redzensky, her services will be private with the Rev. Scott Lill officiating at the St. Barbara’s Polish National Cemetery, Houtzdale. There will be no viewing.

The Heath Funeral Home, Osceola Mills, is in charge of arrangements.
