CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced Clearfield County’s Fugitive of the Week for the week of Nov. 7, 2011.
Shaw identified the Fugitive as Brian Stone, age 32, of Williams Road, Morrisdale, Pennsylvania.
Shaw stated that Stone is wanted for failure to appear at a preliminary hearing on Nov. 24, 2010.
On Oct. 12, 2010, Trooper Thomas Granville of the Pennsylvania State Police, Clearfield Barracks, filed a criminal complaint charging Stone with:1) theft by unlawful taking, F3; 2) unauthorized use of automobiles and other vehicles, M2; 3) criminal trespass, S; and 4) criminal mischief, S.
An affidavit of probable Cause filed by Granville states that in July 2010, the Pennsylvania State Police began an investigation into a theft that occurred at a coal site located in Hawk Run, Morris Township. Upon investigation, it was found that Stone and another individual had unlawfully entered onto the victim’s property and removed various items valued at approximately $4,850.00.
A preliminary hearing was scheduled for Nov. 24, 2010, at which time Stone failed to appear and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
