Roxie V. McQuillen, 85 of Harrisburg and formerly of West Decatur, passed away on Nov. 2, 2011 in Harrisburg at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Rick Hackenberg, with whom she resided.
Born Jan. 12, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Vera (Swisher) Osewalt.
She was a member of the Gospel Tabernacle Assembly of God Church in Chester Hill. She was employed by the US Postal Service as a postmaster for the West Decatur post office. She was later employed as a seamstress for Brody’s in Clearfield until her retirement in the early 1990’s.
On Aug. 12, 1947, she wed Lynn E. McQuillen, who passed away on Oct. 9, 1999.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister Wilma Hart; brothers Albert, Robert, Howard and Glen Osewalt and great-granddaughter Chloe Malinich.
She is survived by daughters Kathie A. Pearcy and her husband Stephen of Clearfield and Melissa Hackenberg and her husband Rick of Harrisburg; grandsons Brian D. Malinich and his wife Tammy of Osceola Mills and Robert A. Malinich and his wife Michelle of Bellefonte; granddaughter Alexis Hackenberg of Harrisburg; great-grandsons Zachariah and Jaydon Malinich of Bellefonte; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was the last of her generation.
A funeral service will be held on Nov. 5 at 11 a.m. at the Gospel Tabernacle Assembly of God Church in Chester Hill with the Revs. G. Robert Ferguson and Daniel B. Winters officiating. Burial will be at Bradford Cemeter in Woodland. Visitation will be held on Nov. 4 from 6-8 p.m. at the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home, 719 E. Spruce St., Philipsburg and on Saturday from 10-11 a.m. at the Church.

Her life was dedicated to her family.
