UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — A limited number of tickets are now available for Penn State’s Senior Day showdown with No. 9 Nebraska on Nov. 12 in Beaver Stadium as a result of some tickets being returned.
The No. 16/15 Nittany Lions (8-1, 5-0) and Cornhuskers (7-1, 3-1) will be meeting for the first time as Big Ten Conference competitors. The national powers will play annually in a protected cross-division rivalary. Penn State leads the series, 7-6, with the teams meeting in Beaver Stadium for the first time since 2002.
Tickets for the contest can be purchased from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays by calling 1-800-NITTANY (800-648-8269) or from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays at the Bryce Jordan Ticket Center.
The kick time for the Penn State-Nebraska clash will be announced on Sunday, Nov. 6. Penn State’s seniors will be introduced to the crowd in a pre-game ceremony before their final home game.
Penn State and Nebraska rank among the nation’s Top 5 teams in all-time victories. The Nittany Lions are fifth with 826 wins and the Cornhuskers are fourth with 844. The teams will be meeting for the first time since an 18-10 Nebraska win in Lincoln in 2003.
Coach Joe Paterno’s Nittany Lions are idle this week and will bring a seven-game winning streak into the Nebraska contest. Penn State leads the Big Ten Leaders Division with a 5-0 mark. The Huskers are tied for the Legends Division lead and host Northwestern Saturday before traveling to Happy Valley.
