Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced Clearfield County’s Fugitive of the Week for the week of Oct. 31, 2011.
Shaw identified the Fugitive as Tesia Tkacik, age 21, of Coal Hill Road, Clearfield, Pennsylvania.
Shaw stated that Tkacik is wanted for failure to appear at a preliminary hearing on Oct. 12.
On Sept. 15, Patrolman Charles Marshall, Jr., of the Lawrence Township Police Department, filed a criminal complaint charging Tkacik with: 1) driving under the influence, M; 2) careless driving, S; 3) driving on roadways laned for traffic, S; and 4) driving vehicle at safe speed.
An Affidavit of Probable Cause filed by Patrolman Marshall states that on August 7, 2011, the Lawrence Township Police Department was dispatched to the scene of a one vehicle accident on Mann Road in Lawrence Township. Upon making contact with the driver of the vehicle, Marshall detected signs of impairment and requested that Tkacik perform field sobriety tests. After administering the field sobriety tests, Tkacik was transported to the Clearfield Hospital for blood testing.
A preliminary hearing was scheduled for Oct. 12, at which time Tkacik failed to appear and a warrant was issued for her arrest.
