Douglas J. Eggers, 54, of Clearfield died Monday at the Select Specialty Hospital, Johnstown.
He was born Sept. 24, 1957 in Clearfield as the son of Joseph L. and Sherry A. (Boyle) Eggers. Mr. Eggers was a member of the West Side United Methodist Church of Clearfield.
In 1979, he graduated from Penn State University with a degree in accounting and had been a finance manager for various car dealerships.
He’s survived by his mother, Sherry A. Eggers; a daughter, Ashleigh E.N. Eggers; three sisters, Tammy J. Eggers and Maureen M. Eggers, all of Clearfield and Kimberly A. Levin and her husband, Mike of St. Petersburg, FL; a nephew and three nieces, Michael Levin and his wife, Holly; Alisha Dos Santos and her husband, Diego; Caitlin McCoy and her husband, Derrick; and Samantha Levin.
Mr. Eggers was preceded in death by his father, Joseph L. Eggers, paternal grandparents, Leo and Pauline Eggers and maternal grandparents, Roy and Evelyn Boyle.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home Inc., of Clearfield with the Rev. Dr. Joleen A. Willis officiating. Interment will be in Bloomington Cemetery of Curwensville.
Friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. until the hour of the services Friday at the funeral home.
