Clearfield County Crime Stoppers Seeks Info on Coalport Burglary

CLEARFIELD- Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced that the Clearfield County Crime Stoppers is seeking information relating to a burglary at Donna’s Wash N Dry in Coalport. 

Shaw stated that the Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a burglary at  Donna’s Wash N Dry located on 1321 Main Street in Coalport. The incident occurred in the late evening and early morning hours of Sept. 28-29, 2011. 

Upon investigation it was found the actor(s) had pried open the exterior door to gain entry then the actor(s) pried open another locked door. Once inside the establishment, the actor(s) used a wrecking bar and a reciprocating saw to loosen and remove a change dispensing machine that was attached to the wall. The actor(s) also opened a soda machine that was located inside the building. The actor(s) removed approximately $3,500.00 in U.S. Currency (all quarters), and caused approximately $2,000.00 worth of damage to the business.

Shaw stated that the Clearfield County Crime Stoppers is seeking information relating to the burglary at Donna’s Wash N Dry. Shaw also stated that the Clearfield County Crime Stoppers will pay a reward of up to $1,000.00 for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible for the armed robbery.
