DUBOIS – Sandy Township received a $2,000 grant from Wal-Mart store #1279.
The grant will be used at the park for some new tables and the memorial of a local marine who died in 1967.
“We want to thank Wal-Mart for supporting our effort,” said Township Manager Dick Castonguay.
The township is looking to have a plaque crafted for the memorial.
